The GoPro company has been in business since 2002. GoPro has a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee if you purchase the product directly from their online store. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days to return it for refund with no questions asked. You will need to ask for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number from GoPro Customer Support by clicking on the “Contact Us” link at the bottom left of the main Support Page.

GoPro also has an automatic 1 year manufacturer warranty included with their products. No registration is required but proof of purchase will be so keep that in your files. If you have a GoPro account and can log in and find the GoPro manual update page that is above the fields for your name and email; you will see that it reads “REGISTER YOUR CAMERA.” It should be noted, however, that this logs the kind of camera you have and simply registers your email as associated with that kind of camera. Then you will receive email notifications about any firmware updates that are released, but it will not save your camera serial number to your name.  Again be sure of  the following:

  • it was bought new
  • it was bought less than one year ago
  • it was bought from an authorized reseller such as:
    • GoPro’s own website
    • BestBuy
    • Target
    • Wal-Mart
    • Amazon LLC
    • GoPro_Certified stores

NOTE: please visit the site directly to verify the details and obtain more information.
