Access Wireless was founded in 1985. They provide cell phone service to income eligible households in connection with the government funded Lifeline Assistance Program. The Lifeline program provides discounted phone service and is supported by the Universal Service Fund (USF).

  • meet the following requirements of being a participate in any of these public assistance programs:
    • TANF- Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
    • NSLP- National School Lunch Program’s Free Lunch Program
    • SNAP- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
    • Food Stamps
    • SSI- Supplemental Security Income NOT Social Security Benefits
    • Tribal Qualifying Program based on State of residence
    • Medicaid
    • LIHEAP- Low-Income Housing Energy Assistance Program
    • Federal Public Housing Assistance / Section 8
    • CHIP- Health Benefit Coverage under Child Health Plan
  • Show total household gross income
  • Be a participant in other state government programs 
  • photo identification

what to do to apply online:

  • visit: www.accesswireless.com/enroll
  • click on the link titled “Click here to apply online.”
  • type in the zip code of your area in the field provided
  • click on the green “CHECK AVAILABILITY” button
  • from the program list, select which one you or a family member participates in
  • click on the green “NEXT” button
  • answer the two question properly by answering yes/no
  • click on the green “NEXT” button
