what you need:

  • internet access
  • email address
  • password
  • other personal information

what to do to activate your personal Free GoToMeeting Plan:

  • visit: https://free.gotomeeting.com/
  • click on the “Sign Up Now” button at the top of the page or the “Get Free” button at the bottom of the page
  • type in your name in the spaces provided
  • type in your professional email address in the space provided
  • create and type in a password in the space provided
  • click on the “Get It Now” button
  • you will receive a welcome message, click on the “Let’s get started!” button
  • NOTE: you will first try out the GoToMeeting Pro version for 30 days before being moved to the Free GoToMeeting version
  • make sure the link is titled the way you would like in the space provided and then click on the “Next” button
  • when you are ready, click on the “Schedule” button
  • type in a meeting name
  • select the time and set up any other preferences
  • click on the “Save” button
  • review the invitation details
  • click on the “Copy” button
  • share the information by email, chat or calendar invitation
  • that’s it! your attendees can click the link and join your meeting when the time is due

NOTE: you will first try out the GoToMeeting Pro version for 30 days before being moved to the Free GoToMeeting version. How many days left can be seen in your online account at the top. Your free trial does not require a credit card. It will automatically cancel at the end of your trial period unless you have subscribed. If you would like to cancel after you have subscribed, sign in and go to the “My Account” page. Select “Change Plan”, then “Cancel After my GoToMeeting plan ends” and “Yes, cancel after trial“.

what to do to activate access to and join a GoToMeeting meeting:

  • visit: https://www.gotomeeting.com/meeting/join-meeting
  • type in your 9 digit meeting ID or meeting room
  • click on the “Join” button
  • NOTE:
    • If you arrive before the organizer, you’ll see a window confirming that you successfully connected. When the session starts, the GoToMeeting control panel will appear on your screen.
