Alltel is now owned by AT&T. AT&T has a long history dating back to 1876 and was founded by Alexander Graham Bell. AT&T expects to start the transition process of moving Alltel customers to AT&T’s 4G service after the network upgrades are finished in late 2014. Wireless (postpaid) customers will be sent a pre-select letter and transition materials with rate plan and device options. Prepaid customers will be sent a text message with special offers to switch to AT&T.  Until then customers can use their current services as normal. NOTE: please visit the site directly to verify the details and obtain more information.
