Before you can start managing your Amazon Echo / Alexa, you will need to login online or create an account. If you are a customer that needs to activate access to your personal Amazon Echo/ Alexa online account, read below. We have provided a quick “how to” activation guide below to activate set up for your Amazon Echo device.

what you need in advance:
- internet access
- personal information
- NOTE: place your Amazon device in a central location and preferably about eight inches from any walls and windows
- you will need an Amazon online account
what to do if you want to set up and create a new Amazon Echo Alexa device Amazon account (this step is not needed if you already have an Amazon account including an Amazon prime or business account):
- click here
- type in your name in the space provided
- type in a valid email address
- create and type in a password in the spaces provided
- click on the “Create your Amazon account” button
- continue to move forward until you have created your Amazon.com account
what to do if you want to set up your new Amazon Echo Alexa device:

- you will find that first you need to download the Alexa app from your the app store located on your device
- go to the app store on your mobile device and search for “Alexa app.”
- select the app and download it.

- You can also go to https://alexa.amazon.com from Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer (10 or higher) on your Wi-Fi enabled computer.
- after you have download the Alexa app to your device, login using your Amazon account login name and password
- turn on the Amazon Echo (the light ring will first turn blue, then orange and then Alexa will greet you
- connect your Echo to a wi-fi network (click here for details on wi-fi connection)
- begin using Alexa by asking her one of the many voice activated requests/features
