what you need:

  • internet access
  • temporary registration ID received in the mail
  • a temporary password received in the mail
  • other personal information

what to do:

  • visit: www.us.hsbc.com/activate
  • click on the button titled “Enter”
  • enter in your temporary registration ID in the space provided
  • enter in your temporary password in the space provided
  • click on the “Continue” button
  • proceed to provide any other required and requested information and continue until you receive your confirmation that you have successfully activated your new HSBC online account
