- internet access
- social security number
- valid HSBC account or HSBC card (credit/debit)
- other personal information
what to do:
- visit: www.us.hsbc.com/onlineaccount
- read and review the “Electronic Delivery Disclosure Notice” and then click on the box next to the words “I have read and agree to the Electronic Delivery Disclosure Notice”
- read and review the “Terms and Conditions” and then click on the box next the words “I have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions” and then click the red “Accept” button
- type in your social security number in the space provided
- type in your email in the space provided
- type in your phone number in the spaces provided
- from the drop down box select how you prefer to go about verifying your account
- type in the required information and then click on the “Continue” button
- proceed to provide all the required and requested information and the “Set Up Log On” page and the “Set Security Questions” page and continue until you receive your confirmation that you have successfully activated your new HSBC online account
- once your are logged in, click on the “Activate New Card” button and follow the reminder instructions
