what you need:
- internet access
- have an official AT&T GoPhone
- SIM card number that begins with 89 and is 20 digits long
- other personal information
what to do to activate GoPhone online:
- visit: www.wireless.att.com/GoPhoneWeb
- type in your SIM card number in the space provided with no spaces
- click on the “Continue” button
- provide any other required information to complete the activation
what to do to activate GoPhone directly on phone:
- turn the device on
- in the “Quick Start Guide” select a rate plan from the chart and enter the “activation code“ connected with your selected rate plan and use the ZIP code where you will use your service frequently
- press the “Send” key
- a text message will be sent to your new phone number along with instructions to power off your phone for 10 minutes to finish the activation
- when the 10 minutes have passed, power on the phone and add money to your account
